Big Ground swell out there so we didn't give it much time and only caught a couple of fish. Guy's still went home with dinner at the end of the day, they just didn't have anything for the Freezer!!
With the conditions the same as yesterday, we decided to fish down the beach again. Capt. Dan is starting to see more Bass each night now, last nights trip produced 14 fish between the keepers and Shorts in all that wind!
Way too much wind against the tide today to fish the channels, had to go in search mode hoping to find a bite. Found a Keeper and some shorts in the ocean on the first spot, water temp was 63.
Dave Bachovchin lead the way with the first limit including the NEW BIG POOL LEADING Eight Pound Eight ounce Beauty!Matt had his limit with fish over 6 pounds, Capt. Ron Sr.
The big fish of the day and our First Big Pool leader of the season goes to Nate Chudy, Flemington, N. J. with a nice 6 pound 8 ounce Fish. First limit of the Season honors goes to, Officer Elisa Arnoldy, Hopatcong N. J. with 7 fish for the day.
With all the reports of good action the past couple of weeks, I am stumped. Had a shot of fish at the change of tide and thought for sure the bite turned on.
Been fishing mostly the bait as we have had a Bunch of Rod Rental Customers the past couple of days, much easier to Chunk and get the fish to the boat, tossing the lines out and working with the customers, instead of running around trying to jig. Fishing with Fresh Bunker every day and every night for now.
FISHERMEN Sundays Excellent Fishing Report. Had a group of Ladies fishing in the Bow who put on a clinic today (with a little help) from the Captain of course!
